Extra date: Writing Colour - a bluebell walk and creative writing workshop

By popular demand, we've added an extra date for our bluebell walk followed by a creative writing workshop.

Join us for a writing workshop with Wytham Woods’ writer in residence, Dr Charlie Lee-Potter, an award-winning writer, academic and multi-media artist.

Charlie will meet you at Sawmill Yard, before we begin our walk together. On our way, we'll be able to enjoy the beauty of the bluebells, while taking notes and jotting down ideas about how best to describe their colour. Once we reach the chalet, we'll look at some examples of how celebrated writers have been able to render colour in words and then we'll begin our own creative writing session. For those who would like to, there'll be the chance to share your writing with the group.

Be sure to bring a notebook and something to write with. The weather can be unpredictable and the walk will take around half an hour, so be sure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Remember that the walk back to the carpark from the chalet at the end of the workshop will take 20 minutes. The event is intended for adults and is suitable for all.
