Owing to the increase in visitor numbers and also the limited capacity of our car parking facilities, we are re-introducing a booking system for weekend use only, effective immediately. In future, tickets will be released two weeks in advance, via Eventbrite.
Please book either a morning ticket or an afternoon ticket.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you must bring your permit with you when visiting, and also that the Woods do not open before 10am on weekdays. Please also note that Common Piece Gate remains closed all throughout the week.
Please note a ticket covers up to 6 people, as per your walking permit. You must bring both your permit and your ticket with you.
Monday to Friday: 10am to dusk
Weekends and bank holidays: 9am to dusk**
The Woods are open every day of the year including bank holidays, unless essential management work is being undertaken.
**We will revert to our usual dawn to dusk opening hours when we no longer have to operate a booking system.
