For this project we have assembled a team of young people (18-25 year olds) and are basing our work on the curriculum of the proposed new GCSE in Natural History with the support of the OCR exam board (who are developing the qualification).
This project is a collaboration between Wytham Woods and the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and we have support for the cultural elements of the project from the Ashmolean Museum. Hill End Outdoor Education Centre (adjacent to Wytham Woods) is also involved, and we have the involvement of MSc students from University's School of Geography, and trainee teachers from the Department of Education.
If you would like to get involved in this project, please contact kim.polgreen@ligc.co.uk. You only need some enthusiasm and some time to offer. It’s a great opportunity to build experience and knowledge!
