School fieldwork

Three students standing in a woodland glade

As a result of these workshops, during the course of the autumn term three schools have brought groups to undertake A-Level Geography Non Examined Assessment fieldwork at Wytham Woods. They were all measuring trees, for projects on the carbon cycle and carbon sequestration. It is great to see how students are practically engaged with carbon and climate issues. Other schools are booked into to do some biology fieldwork and one group is going to do a 5K run round the Woods! If you would like to bring your students to the woods for some work and/or wellbeing, please get in touch with Kim Polgreen, Youth Educator in Residence on kim.polgreen@ligc.co.uk.
